1) I had been to a Birmingham location - and I am so glad this location also lived up to the hype! Great staff, delicious local food!

I ordered the Capri with Gouda grits and a turtle latte 😋

-Karen Elise

2) I didn't know what good coffee was until I stopped by at frothy monkey a few years back. I absolutely love their mocha and turtle lattes! The cheese boards are lovely! They recently brought back "The Betsy" which is their chicken salad sandwich after being off the menu for a few years. I highly recommend pairing it with their tomato basil soup! There is outdoor and indoor seating which provide a great place to study or just catch up with friends. If you don't see any available parallel parking in the front entrance, there is an additional parking lot in the back (which I prefer to park in). Overall, a great spot in the busy and beautiful 12th South area.

1) Outstanding coffee. Lived in Seattle for a decade and am a ‘weird coffee person’ that gets to geeky about a good cup. Passed through sump in a business trip on a recommendation from baristas at other area shops (always a good sign). Had an espresso and a drip. Espresso shot was phenomenal - in my top 10 from anything I’ve had from anywhere. Branding has an onyx vibe. Interesting whole bean selection for purchase. Atmosphere was a little corporate/dead, but in every way, can’t recommend this place high enough.

-Eric Roe

2) Best coffee (quality-wise) in town and it's not particularly close. Great vibes, really nice patio when the weather is nice, and of course, excellent espresso and pour overs. If you're into coffee, this is the place for you. Also a great spot to work during the day as it's quiet, and the tables and chairs are comfortable enough to settle into for multiple hours.

I ordered mine unsweetened with oat milk and it was DELICIOUS. We had everything bagels...not sure who bakes them but the "everything" was a lot of yummy flavors. I'd love to go back and try more of their offerings. The place is bright and airy with a nice vibe.

1) It’s not often that a coffee really impresses me, but I have to say the Shagbark Latte with oat milk was enjoyable from the first to the last sip. It’s also not often that I enjoy a coffee hot AND iced. The food was great too, but the service was awesome! Everyone was really helpful and nice. The atmosphere was great. I got the Bee-Hive vegan sausage, avocado, and sprouts bagel sandwich and a chocolate croissant, and both were great!

-Jodi

2) The hot chocolate was exquisite as we only like good chocolate and nothing pre made. The tea was also so delicious as it was freshly steeped with a variety of different herbs. Our pastry was really good as well. Very nice

1) April 2024 - On our first morning I walked up the road to check

Out the neighborhood. I got a Mocha at Humphreys and got some great advice about activities from a local. I was curious what Humphrey’s “Great Cause”is - but never was able to find out. Then I headed further north and after about another mile, found myself downtown.

-Lance Roper

2) Humphrey’s street coffee is a reliable coffee shop in Nashville. The coffee specials are always creative, there is always street parking available, and the tables are spacious here. The coffee itself is competitive in quality though I wouldn’t say they are coffee snobs. The coffee is a bit expensive (even compared to the average coffee price in Nashville) and outlets are limited. If you are wanting to work from here, make sure you come early if you want a spot near a power source. On the bright side, they don’t play their music too loudly so it is easy to focus on work or the conversation you are having. Beautiful building, relaxing atmosphere, nice people!

1) Holy cow! 1st time here. Ordered an iced vanilla latte. I have had MANY iced lattes in my life and this one tasted like no other I have ever had. It was so very delicious. Maybe it had a touch of honey, I’m not sure but whatever their special touch was is absolutely amazing. Only negative- I do not live close to any of the locations and I’ll never be able to drink a latte from anywhere else lol

-Melissa Bentley

2) Elegy coffee is a bit pricey, but I think it’s definitely worth it. I had a vanilla latte with oat milk that blew several other coffees shops lattes out of the water. I also had a bacon and egg sandwich on an everything bagel that was super tasty. The look and feel of the coffee shop was also super cool and cozy, but the absence of indoor seating was disappointing. I understand why as it is a very much grab and go kind of shop with their quick service and even a walk up window, but the coziness of Elegy made me want to hang a while. They did have ample outdoor seating for those warmer days. Definitely recommend Elegy for a quick coffee and breakfast grab.
